Akamai plug in

I just downloaded the latest 6.9 JW Player - and went out and got the latest Akamai plug in - does not work - doesn't even call the "pluginloader" function - 6.8 JW Player works fine with it (besides the known issues of the multiple files in Akamai issue) - is this because its the free player? Thanks.

Yes, it is because the free player is used.

Ok but it works on 6.8 version - so this changed with version 6.9? Thanks. I do see that it did a "registerplugin". Thank you -

Also - to get it to work with 6.9 version - would we have to buy the Pro or Premium edition? Thanks again. (From the documentation looks like maybe Premium).

Any paid edition should be fine. Yes, it was a change with 6.9 for providers/plugins.

Ok - and if I shouldn't be asking this to you - sorry - just tell me that - but on the comparison of the editions - listed in the additional features - it says Akamai HD Network - need to get Premium - what does that mean? is that so you can get the selection on toolbar for bitrate stream? Thanks Ethan. I do like the JW Player.

Basically, the plugin won’t work unless the premium edition is used, then.
