Actionscript error in Flash Player 10 (IE8 on XP SP3)

When viewing jwplayer.com in IE8 on XP SP3, a JavaScript error modal appears on page load:

"
Adobe Flash Player 10
An Actionscript error has occurred:
VerifyError: Error #1053: Illegal override of z in mx.core.BitmapAsset.
[I clicked "Continue"]
VerifyError: Error #1065: Variable LogoComponentLicensed_LogoImage is not defined.
[I clicked "Continue"]
VerifyError: Error #1065: Variable Related_DockIcon is not defined.
[and so on]
"

IE8 is running on a VirtualBox virtual machine. The errors do not appear in Google Chrome running on the same virtual machine.

IE8 + http://whatversion.net/flash = 10.0.2
Chrome + http://whatversion.net/flash = 14.0.0

I expected that JW Player would handle player detection and show a nicely formatted error if the installed Flash player version is too old.

Thanks,
Dan Smith (developing for our client Diane Pivac)

Can I see a link to where this is running?

Hi Ethan,

This is occurring on our site, but I can reproduce the error @ http://www.jwplayer.com/ (homepage).

Thanks,
Dan

Virtual Machines are not always reliable. For example, I have an old Dell Vostro laptop that we use here which is still on XP, and it is running Flash 10.1, I even installed the debug version of the Flash player, but our hompepage is fine.
