Custom Skin: Transition between playIcon and playIconOver

We use JWPlayer as the video player for embedded videos in our web application. We created a custom skin, and specified both playIcon and playIconOver. When the player is displayed on a system with a mouse, there is a brief visual transition between the playIcon and the playIconOver — one fades out as the other fades in.

Our designers would prefer that this transition be (as much as possible) instantaneous. But there is no way to configure this in the custom skin. Would you please add a configuration parameter for this, for example:

playIconOverTransitionTime(100)
The amount of time, in milliseconds, that the visual transition between playIcon and playIconOver takes. Set to 0 for an immediate transition.

I’m afraid we don’t have such a feature. I can request it, but this is not something that is requested often.

The way it works currently, it becomes mostly transparent about halfway through the transition. We find it distracting; it looks like it's broken.

Anyhow, we'd appreciate it if you would consider this for a future release.
