I have download the 6.9 self hosted player and the skin.
Can i have a detailed step by step direction with embedded code samples how i can self host my player.

It's pretty simple. Take a look at the demo pages on the pull-down menu here:

All of the JW6 examples are using JW 6.9.

Just remember that all three of the files - jwplayer.js, jwplayer.html5.js, and jwplayer.flash.swf - need to be together, in whatever directory you're stashing them in.

Version 6.9 do not works on IE 9.00, I sent to the JWPlayer Team my bug reports...

I hope in afix as soon as possibile...
