How do I use wmode=Transparent in Wordpress

I'm trying to get FLV video with a transparent background to play in wordpress. I could not find the proper code or method to add the wmode parameter. I tried using flashvars="wmode=transparent" in the shortcode but that did not work. Is there not a way to do this?

Currently, given the way we render video, this is not configurable at this time.
