Player is visible only in full screen, on iOS and Android

Hello,
I have JW6 Premium edition player embedded in a page on a Moodle LMS and in BlackBoard LMS. With Desktop browsers all seems to be OK.

But when I launch the same page in iOS tablets or android tablets, the player is not visible (there is a white empty place). When I tap on this white empty space, the sound of the video starts, but there is still no images! When I double tap on this white empty space, the video appears correctly in full screen mode!

So I think that the html5 player is here but it's not visible...

It's reminds me some troubles I had 6 months ago with JW6 setup. I have read it was possible to put analytics enabled false, to solve some strange things with the player… But I'm not sure what it was really about…

Could you help me to understand what to do with this very strange behavior on mobile devices ?

Thanks

Hello, I'm going to try to give you a link. It's not very simple because it's on a protected website (you must login/password). May be, I could give a tempo account… But not sure.

Haven't you heard of things going strange, like I wrote in my question ?

Thanks

Here is a link where it's possible to see this strange behavior of JW6 :

https://fr.coursesites.com/webapps/blackboard/content/listContent.jsp?course_id=_233672_1&content_id=_6060646_1

You have to log on with username ebrouard and password student*

You will see a page with a single video on main container, it's called "Accueil cliente". It's working correctly on desktop computers (flash primary). But in mobile devices (Android or iOS) it's working the same way as I said in the beginning of this post.

Can you see it ?
What's going wrong ?

Thanks

Your video is not loading for me at all on desktop or mobile.
I see an error in the Console referencing listContent.js:491:274

Hope this helps,
Todd

Dear Todd,
We had a connexion issue yesterday, with main access to the web. It could explain why you didn't see the video loading. Could you try again ? Our web connexion is OK now.

Thanks

Hi Philippe,

If you pinch the screen on the iPhone to make your site zoom out, You can see that the video is loading behind the rest of your page. I’m not sure how or why, but it must have something to do with the CSS on this page.

Kind regards,
Todd

Hi Todd,

Thanks for your response. I've made some update, adding a div element at z-index 2147483647 for wrapping the player : It's still messing.

I've also add JWPlayer audio with primary:HTML5 under the first video. There is the same strange behavior: the player is visible on desktop but not on mobile devices.

I don't understand why.
Have you got an idea ?
Thanks

I also tried the z-index setting yesterday but it did not work for me either.
My guess is the CSS for the LMS is causing the problem. Can you try embedding the video as an iframe instead?

Kind regards,
Todd

Yes, I tried to embed the video with an iframe : it's 100% OK (you can check it in the same page where there is the problem, it's Test 3). I think this will be the solution. My iframe system is working for one video. But we may have to use the JW playlist functions. I hope I will find a good way to add playlist support to the iframe functionalities…
