When I do it on my ipad mini, the video is not sizing correctly. There is extra space at the bottom. This happens on every video I try, no matter what the dimensions are.
This looks fine to me?
There is about 35px of space at the bottom of the video area when I view it. The control bar is drawn above this area, and over the video. It seems to me that the control bar should be drawn in this empty space (I think it's the same height as the control bar) and the video should be drawn to the bottom of the canvas.

Are you running 7.1? All I have is a mini, and I haven't looked at it on a different device. However, this is definitely an issue for html5 video on the ipad, but I think it's a new issue.
I am using an iPhone5 on 7.1. I updated the day it came out.
