Player Showing "Live Broadcast" on Static Stream

Hi, one of my clients has reported this issue, I couldnt figure out so asking for help here, basically JWplayer is being tested on his site to run videos, though videos run fine but the player shows "Live Broadcast" in status window, despite the fact they are not live and streamed directly from server, as well no Total Time or runned time shows up. Play/Pause button works fine so is full screen.

This issue can only be seen on FireFox browser, rest (Google Chrome, IE) are working fine.

I have tried doing all I could, but have given up, any help would be really appreciated.

Thanks for your reply Ethan, it seemed problem with CloudFlare CDN network, as when tested with other CDN networks, it works fine. so I would bring this problem down to FireFox + CloudFlare, as even on CloudFlare it works fine with other browsers, because cloudflare transmits the data from its nodes so JWPlayer may be assuming its live stream.

btw, I have taken site off from CloudFlare, so no issues as I write.

Ah, got it. Yeah, I have used CloudFlare before. Did you have it set to use their Rocket Loader optimizer? I found that running it sometimes make things break on my sites so I ended up disabling it.

Ethan, I have tried all options, with and without Rocket Loader, CDN, CDN + basic optimiaztions, CDN + Full optimizations, even disabling JS, HTML, CSS cache, trying different security options.

The moment it comes on CloudFlare, player starts showing live streaming (this just happens on FireFox), others (Chrome & IE) works as they should.

If you embed it without Cloudflare active on the site, there are no issues?

No, there arent any, as I have tested on 2 other networks, Incapsula and Google Page Speed, both are CDN's and there arent any issues like that on any of the networks, other than CloudFlare, even on CloudFlare, its just on Firefox, not on Google Chrome or IE.

Interesting, maybe there is something with how Cloudflare that is making something weird happen with our script.

Ethan, but then it shouldnt have happened with other browsers, it could be FireFox as the only browser showing issue is firefox. is there possibility to turn off Live Broadcast feature in player's code?

Just for the test again, I have shifted the site to CloudFlare's network, and it showed up the problems again. For your reference, visit the link given (and Click ITLive's Stream tab) and you'll have idea of what I meant.

The link here is using a YouTube embed?

There are 2 tabs, 1 is youtube embed, other is from server itself, and that is what I am mentioning showing Live Broadcast on FireFox and rest are fine. IE 9 and below shows full size movie without resizing it.

Its just that I want to know if something can be fixed to work on CloudFlare, else there are plenty other options of CDN networks. I will hopefully be shifting the site to Google Page Speed in 1-2 days, it was just I shifted to CloudFlare to show you the outcome.

I am not sure. I know Cloudflare does some JS optimization, so it might be possible that their optimizer is messing with our JS.
