White or black screen when moving slider to beginning

I have a weird issue that is affecting us greatly. The site is for approval of spots and the viewers use the slider to look at different parts often. We just noticed if the slider is moved all the way to the beginning we get a white or black screen but the audio plays. Video does come back in about 10 to 20 seconds, but most of our spots are under 30 seconds so it is not very helpful.

This is streaming from a Wowza server using the jwplayer.rss method. The issue doesn't happen on mobile devices as far as I can tell.
