JW Player is an awesome Flash Player. I think it's one of the best players to work with and the documentation and forums are so quick to respond and update. But I don't think you guys offer support for this on Samsung Smart TVs? Are there any plans to provide support for the same on Samsung Smart TVs at the App Level, since they support Flash Players by default.
Do Samsung Smart TVs have a built in web browser?
They do have a default web browser that works alright for my web-sites using JW Player. What I'm more interested in is support at the App level and not the browser per se.
The player is only embedded inside of a website. We do not have any “app” version of the player available.
The App-Engine of the Samsung TVs is a browser. An App is defined as HTML/JS/Flash and then rendered by the browser (I read its a "Maple" Engine somewhere)
jw-player works fine in the Samsung TV emulator, but not on the device. I would guess it's a problem in jwplayer.js.
What version of the player are you using?
I'm also trying to use JWplayer in a Samsung Smart TV. I'm trying to play an html5 video, but all I get is a black screen in the Emulator (version 3.0a).

My parents were trying to watch some online shows that uses jwplayer, but once the video loads on the samsung d7000 tv it has no volume. The site they use is http://www.tv24.vn/ I'm just wondering is there any way around it like download an app or something. Thanks for your help.
There is no app to enable sound that I know of.

Not sure, it really depends on the tv model and if they support flash/html5 or not…
Its a shame jw player and the Samsung Smart TV Browser don't see each other well.

I have the same problem, I've inserted an Iframe with the player inside, when i test it on the Emulator sound works, then, when i test it on the TV, doesn't, the model is UN55ES8000G. And the site is mine.

Looks like there are so many caveats to play flash player in Samsung Smart TV.
I bought the Samsung SMART TV especially to watch flash based live streams. But I'll say 50% doesn't work. Looks like andriod based dongles are a better choice in terms of features and cost.

Their site uses an RTMP stream, it is only compatible with desktops.
