Works OK for me in Chrome, too. Just one mystery, however - in IE10, instead of showing the elapsed and total time (it's about a 5-minute audio), it shows "Live broadcast." I don't have a clue about why - the coding is absolutely clean and the MIME type is right.

Actually, it's not the difference between JW5 and JW6 _per se_ that makes the difference. JW5 defaulted to Flash, but JW6 defaults to HTML5 with a Flash fallback. The problem goes away in Flash mode. So, if you set the primary to Flash in JW6, the problem goes away.
But I'd still like to know why it's happening in the first place. My own MP3 embeds don't do this (see, for example, http://misterneutron.com/JW6embedMusic/).

Have you cleared your FF cache?
There is a neat add-on that you can get which will on the naviagtion toolbar place a button so that you can clear the FF cache.
The add-on is called "Empty Cache"

This works better for me, no duration in IE10 though. Have you checked 5.10 in IE10 with this mp3 as well? I still think you have an encoding issue.

HI Ethan,I signed up for your free player last night:9/12/13. I chose your product specifically as a ios mp3 playback solution. I cloud published 5 mp3 audio files to embed in my website. I embeded multiple instances of your player. (could not understand how to create a playlist...) the problem is: The players will not play a audio file on a consistent basis on multiple ios devices (iphone 4s, 3, 5). sometimes not at all. When it does play, i have to reload the page to get the player to "maybe" play another song.
I am frustrated. Everything works fine on my desktops win7.
