Wowza Load Balancing

Hi all,

I've managed to successfully setup my wowza servers with origin and edge and configure load balancing.

However, when I try the load balancing redirect url:
bc.. rtmp://[primary-server]:1935/loadredirect


JW Play reports "Error loading stream: Could not connect to server"

However, I know it's working as the Flash OSMF player (http://www.osmf.org/configurator/fmp/) plays without issue. Do I need to something particular for this to work with JW Player?

I'm using the lastest versions 6.2, free.

After a bit of research, I've found JW Player 6 has removed the 302 RTMP redirects feature.

There's a ticket for this but can this be added or does one have to wait for a release?

Damn, I can't use my load balancing now. Is there a way around this, other than using another player?

You can use JW5 for the time being, which supports this.

Do you know of any scripts that would dynamically populate an RTMP .smil file, similar to how I believe the HTTP streamers would need a dynamic URL when working with Wowza load balancing?
