Subtitles on Android and Ipad ?


i use jw player 6 and i cant see subtitle on my tablet in html5.i use .xml subtitles.

on my PC i see subtitles. But on my ipad or Asus TF300 tablet i cant see subtitle.

Delete this line – <script type="text/javascript">jwplayer.key="ABCDEFGHIJKLMOPQ";</script>

The player won’t even set up properly here because of an invalid license key error because of this line.

I believe for subtitles to work on devices they have to be embedded into the mp4 file.

but this is a lot of work... other html5 players got captions for devices. can't you guys work on this ?

These devices require the captions to be embedded, you should really look into that. That is what other html5 players do as well.

If you check on android "Request Desktop Site, captions will show, window mode and even full screen mode.
