Drupal 7 JWplayer 6 - Step by step

There is a lot of random stuff on jw player for drupal, old modules, patches ext. I am just looking for a simple updated guide to adding JW player ver6 to a Drupal7 site. The official Longtail module

This does not work with Drupal7, does longtail have no plans to support drupal any longer? There is this- http://drupal.org/project/jw_player but it needs patching, patched it but drupal was still looking for the old player.swf. Basically this whole thing is a mess, can anyone point me in the right direction or know of a step by step guide? Thanks

Our module does not support Druapl 7.

The 2nd module you linked to is made by a 3rd party.

We are planning on addressing this in the future.

I’m afraid there isn’t a step by step guide for this right now, though.

Well for those looking to do this, here is what you do:

download JW Player 7.x-1.0-alpha1 module &
Libraries 7.x-2.0 module
In- sitesallmodules- Make a folder called -libraries- and put jwPlayer folder in it.



Get JDK 7u15 & NetBeans for php
netbeans-7.3-php-windows.exe

Get patch - http://drupal.org/node/1845744
jwplayer-6-1845744-19.patch

Fallow this guide on how to apply the patch:

Run the patch BEFORE installing the module.
