Error Loading Stream: Cannot Connect to Server

I am at a complete loss. I have been trying to update to JW Player 6 all day but can't seem to get the embed code quite right.

We're using Wowza 3 streaming server.

Here is an example of a video, using JW Player 5. I'm only posting this to show that our streaming server works under JW Player 5.

Now, here is the exact same video, on the same server, using the embed code for JW Player 6 that Wowza recommends. It loads fine in Safari and iOS, using HTML5, but never connects to the server when using Flash in Chrome, Firefox, etc.

Any ideas what I've screwed up here? I'm sure I'm just doing something wrong.

Thank you so much for your time.

Is this a wowza redirected stream?

It is not wowza redirected, as far as I know (I may misunderstand what you are asking) .. but I got it working today. The mp4 file is stored on the wowza streaming server. The JW Player, however, is stored on a different server. It worked that way just fine with JW Player 5 though.

I thought it could have something to do with the crossdomain.xml file. I could never really get it to work though.

I fixed it by streaming flash over port 80 instead of 1935. I'm not entirely sure why JW Player 5 worked over port 1935 but JW Player 6 could not reach the server. Honestly, I'm not entirely sure how it's fixed, but at least it works.

One thing I did notice though, is it works in all browsers, except Internet Explorer.
Any ideas as to why?

I'm sorry to keep asking questions. I'll get it sorted out sooner or later. I also realize my question may be more of a wowza question. If that's the case, feel free to tell me to simply go away =)

Ah, glad you got it working.

It works in IE for me, do you have Flash installed for IE?

I thought I did. I don't use Windows often. I'll double-check. If it works for you, I'm sure it's fine.

Thanks for your help.
