Embedded flv video not working in Chrome

I have just noticed that videos (.flv) previously working in Chrome are now not loading. However, mp4 videos work as before.

In Internet Explorer both types of video work fine so it seems to be an issue with the latest version(s) of Chrome.

In Chrome, where there is shortcode (example below), I just see a black rectangle - if clicked, it reads 'error loading file'. For videos embedded recently, where I only see code like [jwplayer mediaid="1409"], nothing appears on the web page.

Anybody know of a solution?

Shortcode example:
<center><div id="myElement1">Loading the vdeo...</div>
<script type="text/javascript">
var playerInstance = jwplayer("myElement1");
file: "",
image: "",
width: 410,
height: 320,
title: 'Vide Title',
description: 'A video with a basic title and description!'

What version of the player are you using? JW8 dropped support for FLV playback.
