Google Analytics Tracking on iFrame Video

Hi there,

I have a video embedded on my site using the iFrame method.

The site is http://outback.video

Is there anyway at all I can get analytical data regarding the number of video plays etc. to feed into Google analytics.

There's a lot of documentation but from what I can see it doesn't refer to the iframe method.

Any help or advice is appreciated. Thanks.

Hi James,

Yes, but not with the <iframe> embeds that are hosted by us. We do not have a way to insert your Google Analytics embed code on the page that we host for you.

You would need to create your own <iframe> child page that contained the GA embed code and then the Javascript single-line embed code.
