My video ads in jw player get skipped

Hi dear community and support,
Here is our problem description:

We are working with the DFP Ad Server (DoubleClick for Publishers)
In order to market our Video Content we did set up a standard DFP VAST Setup which we implemented through our Video Content Partner APA which uses the JW Player 7.12.
When trying to deliver an DFP video ad on one of our video sites the ad get skipped in every browser (Firefox, Chrome, Internet Explorer) except Microsoft Edge.

As I already checked with DFP Support the DFP Setup as well as the VAST Tags works fine also the implementation from APA works like intended.
Since APA couldn’t find any issues with their setup the gave me the advice to contact JW Player support.

On the live page the video ad get always skipped (expect in Microsoft Edge)
With the direct source it works fine.

Hi Olivier,

I am not seeing a response from your ad tag anywhere, even when I try it directly in the browser. But to clarify, it is working for you in Chrome/Firefox/Safari desktop (Mac), just not in Edge?

thanks for your reply.

My bad, I forgot to remove the end date for the ad tag.
That's the reason why you didnt see any response from the ad tag.

It's the opposite.
The video ad in jw player is working in Edge but not in Chrome/Firefox/Internet Explorer.

Hi Olivier,

Your ad tag is working for me in the JW ad tester, I was able to see two ad plays out of five page refreshes in your link. You have banner ads placed around your player in the page, which may result in ad networks not returning an ad as often as expected. I would try removing the banner ads from above the fold on your site, my guess is that will help your ad fill much more often.

thanks for your feedback.
I was able to solve the problem yesterday with some deeper research and debuging.

The problem in my case was that the default choosen file format (m3m8) was incompatible.
So I just disabled it on our ad Server and now it works fine.
