ChromeCast on Android Device

I am unable to use chromecast feature on updated JW Player 8.0.


The setup used for player is

Selected JW Player specifically for the casting functionality (it was in JWPlayer Datasheet). With Google cast not working, this throws a wrench into our product timelines. Any updates on when this would be addressed.

Just found this and someone from called Donni from JWPlayrer support indicated..."currently it is not supported. Some users report seeing the cast icon, but it’s from Chrome not from the Player. Are you able to get the cast icon to show up on the Player itself on desktop? I’m not seeing one on the site you provided."

Hi,

Try casting with the latest JW8 player, the engineers had addressed certain issues with Chromecast on Android for JW8.
