Player not playing HTML5/mp4 files from Wowza

Hello,

We are using WowzaStreamingEngine and JWPlayer.
But the player included on our site is not able to play the mp4 file in HTML5 player.

I have tested Wowza source in the StreamTester and it works on the JWPlayer site.
https://developer.jwplayer.com/tools/stream-tester/

But the same configuration doesn't want to work in the player included on our site.

Can you take a look at our 'example' player and tell me what is not set correctly ?

regards,
Piotr

Hello Piotr,

You were setting primary Flash, try this library instead:

Hello Geaorge,

Did you replace our player somehow ?
Our VOD website stopped working because of that. So if possible please do not modify our player 'live'.
Ok I have put a separate player on the test page.

On the other hand - our player is working as it was before - it does not play the HTML5 movies as before.
I also can't see it playing HTML5 on your test page.

Or we should change something in the player configuration ?

It was already set to play
<code> hlshtml: true,
primary: "html5",</code>
So it should play it by default...

regards,
Piotr

Hello George,

Now the test player is called 'Test Player' (https://content.jwplatform.com/libraries/pmc5EEr6.js) and its located on the page https://podyplomie.pl/web/vodtest.html.
You can modify and test this one.

Hi,

JW7 doesn’t support HLS for Free customers. JW8 however does:

Hi,

Ok, Thank you George. So now we've moved to JWPlayer 8. We can't support older devices (with Flash players) with the JWPlayer 8 ?

Only IE11 on Windows 7 would require Flash to play HLS. To my knowledge, Chrome on Windows would support HLS in HTML5.
