jwplayer increases height during video playback on Safari

Greetings,

I'm facing an issue when playing a video on Safari.
To give some context, I'm using a MacBook Pro macOS Sierra Version 10.12.6 and I have Safari Version 10.1.2 installed.

The issue I'm facing is that whenever a video plays in Safari, the height of the jwplayer increases. Additionally, scrubbing forward or backward also increases the height of the jwplayer. Has anyone encountered this?

So sorry, I forgot to mention, you need to disable the css properties: position and width.

Of course I can!
When using Safari, open up the developer tools and inspect the figcaption element. From here, you should be able to see css attributes associated with said element. If you disable 'position' and 'width' the problem occurs.

What would be the use case of someone going into the developer tools and disabling those CSS rules? I would normally expect issues to occur if certain CSS rules are disabled.
