I’m afraid that playbackRateControls: true, does not work in audiomode, but I am putting in a feature request on your behalf.

Thank you, it should be a very importent service to our customer if we have the opportunity to change the rate to our audiofiles.

Since playbackRate is an HTML5 property, you could build your own external button in the meantime until we add that to the audio player.
