Clear and Concise licensing terms

I have reviewed the TOS: https://www.jwplayer.com/tos/ but I am unable to find verbage that explicitly allows the use of JW7 Free on a commercial site. I am looking to build Joomla sites and have a media module that uses JWPlayer.

The real question I'm looking for:
If I build a site for a client that is partially managed (meaning the client can log in and make changes) and the site does not contain ads, or a storefront am I legally allowed to use the JW7 Free edition?

Hi there,

The free license can be used on a commercial site as long as the player is not integrated itself into any product or service. For example, you can have marketing videos or tutorials embedded in the Free player on your site but you can’t create a YouTube or Netflix competitor with our player.

Thank you.

Thanks for the quick response Alex. Would you be able to clarify one more question?

From your answer I understand that I can't use JWPlayer in a play to view circumstance.

Would I need an individual license for each client site I create or can I use a singular license code?

Hi William,

I cannot speak to the specifics of the licensing beyond what is in the Terms of Service. I would recommend contacting our Sales team using the contact form linked below and someone will reach out to you shortly.
