JW video's do not play on Android 4.* with Android Mobile SDK 2.4.2

We have a lot of complaints about Android 4.* (Android API 19) . (see attached screenshot) . These users complain they can't play the videos. We use JW Android Mobile SDK 2.4.2+159 in our project. What are your recommendations for fixing this (updating the JW SDK ? , adding some specific changes to the Android project? ) - apart from telling users to update to Android 5.* and higher.

This is a known issue and relates to the fact that Android 4.×.x does not support TPS1.2 which is being used to serve the content currently. I’m checking with engineering to get a timeline for a fix.
