Externally-Hosted Content with WEBVTT

How to add WEBVTT Captions to the externally-hosted video content?

Usually, I upload video on the JW Platform and then add .vtt file from "TRACKS" tab,
but what I should do when I made new video from "ADD VIDEO URL"?

Hi,

Any particular reason you’re not hosting on the JW Platform? At the moment there’s no workaround you’d have to setup the captions in the setup block of the player on the page itself.

Hi George,

I host some video externally in need of DRM Protection. I mean I host some content on DRM Provider's server and add it to JW Platform from "ADD VIDEO URL" button in CONTENT-VIDEO section.

But our problem is that same video also needs WEBVTT caption.

Hi,

At the moment you’d have to do the setup on your page as described in this document:
https://support.jwplayer.com/customer/portal/articles/1407438-adding-closed-captions

I’ll escalate your request as a feature request to the engineering team.

Thank you for answering me!
So, I follow the manual and write embed code for VTT by myself.
