Googima countdown and skip ad button underneath player UI (mobile)

Hullo,

We have an issue on mobile browsers - Googima ad countdown timer and skip ad are halfway underneath the player UI:

JWPlayer version 7.9.3 (although I believe it has been the same across versions).
Default JWPlayer skin is used (seven).

This works fine on larger screens, but on portrait phone the player is quite small and actually the "Skip ad" button can be pressed, but you have to be darn precise to do it.


Any ideas?

Hi there,

The IMA SDK does not allow us to move their “Skip Ad” button so there is essentially not much we can do about this. One workaround would be to hide our control bar with CSS and then display it again when the .on(‘adComplete’) fires but the issue there is then the viewer will have no way to pause/resume the playback of the ad.

Thanks Alex! Yes, as much I've investigated myself, after posting, is that there is not much that can be done. I'm now looking into using VAST instead of Googima.
