Is there a fix now for supporting live DVR with Chromecast using lastest JW Player? We use live DVR and when testing with Chromecast player jumps back to the beginning. Our Our streaming media vendor is Akamai.

When you send a video to a Chromecast, the device is responsible for the HLS playback. My understanding is that Chromecast does not currently support HLS DVR streams, so there will not be a way for our player to fix this.

Sounds like HLS DVR support might be possible via a custom receiver. Our engineers are in the process of building one, so I will update this thread when I have more details. Might be another week or two…
