Is there a way to prevent JWPlayer from firing certain events in the VAST XML? For example is there a way to make sure the player does not send the <ClickTracking> event in the VAST? This is because due to external reasons we cannot modify the XML ourselves.

Good question. There is no way to manipulate events from a VAST ad request.
