Can you provide a link to your test page? If the MOOV atom is missing, I would expect our player to need to download the entire video before playback begins, but I would expect this to the same in JW6 and JW7.
Yes, it's the same.
Here is the link:
http://player.libertatea.ro/ringiervideo/jw7/player20_static.html?width=100%25&stream=/uploads/tx_lsuvideo/taiat4.mp4&image=http://static4.libertatea.ro/wp-content/uploads/2017/01/h_50778008-1-1024x686.jpg
Thank you!
Your HLS stream URL is working for me directly in Safari, but it looks like it is blocked by CORS in our test page at http://demo.jwplayer.com/developer-tools/http-stream-tester/
I see that the player is trying to load the RTMP stream first on that page, but I am not sure why.
Please remove the RTMP URL and try again.
i've removed the rtmp url and now it says no playable sources
Set ‘primary’: “html5”,
‘hlshtml’: true
and try again
did, it's the same
Thanks. This is strange. Your HLS stream is working for me in Safari but not in Chrome.
I will escalate this to our engineers and update you when I hear back.
Sorry, I just realized you are using a Free license key on this page. Our Free license key does not support HLS playback, so you will need to upgrade to a Premium version or higher for the HLS stream to work.
The RTMP stream should have worked, so check with your streaming provider to make sure the URL is correct.
The reason your HLS stream is not working in our Stream Tester is because it is blocked by CORS on your streaming provider side.
I tried rtmp with stream tester but it doesn't work with smil files. is this normal?
rtmp://ringier-video.distinct.ro:443/static3.libertatea.ro/_definst_/uploads/tx_lsuvideo/interviu-inna.mp4.smil
SMILs should work in the Free version of our player.
That URL is not working for me in VLC either. Is it working for you?
