Yes, you can point to any video hosted on your own server in the file: ’’ parameter of your JW Player setup. See our Basic Embedding document at http://support.jwplayer.com/customer/portal/articles/1406723-mp4-video-embed for more details. Be sure to choose your embedding method and then click on the 1,2,3, or 4 tab in the middle of the page.
You can also add this external video URL to your JW Player account dashboard. If you add the external video URL, we will collect analytics. Please see http://support.jwplayer.com/customer/portal/articles/2083166-using-media-ids for more details.
