Wowza HLS VOD through JWPlayer Wordpress Plugin

Experimenting with streaming VOD Wowza through a JWPlayer Wordpress Plugin.

From my JWPlayer dashboard the following embed code is generated:

<script src="//"></script>

Placing this in a test page on my site... I am able to view the video in MS Edge but it won't play in Chrome, Firefox, or MS IE (no access to Safari). The browsers where it doesn't play render a player but only show the following message:

"Playlist could not be loaded: No playable sources found"

Video in question is an .mp4 file with the following URL defined on the dashboard behind the embed code:

Above URL however plays in all browsers using the JWPlayer test site... The only caveat being that it plays in Chrome only if "Attempt to render in HTML5" is unchecked.

I'm at a loss on why this would be... looking for any insight I can glean on what I might be missing.

Hi there,

Your account is a Free account and HLS playback requires a Premium account, or higher. The reason why the stream is working for you in Edge (and it would in Safari) is that HLS streams are natively supported in Edge so its native media player is the one handling the majority of the playback in that browser.

Thank you.
