Just wondering if my really(!) old Safari (5.1.7) browser on Windows is the only instance out there having trouble loading a jw-made .vtt?

Captions that we serve from our platform are compatible with all of the browsers and devices listed on our Browser & Device Reference as long as those browsers are relatively recent versions. Since Safari for Windows hasn’t been maintained since 2012, most of the functionality of our player can’t be expected to work properly in that version.

I don’t have information about the actual addTextTrack method but it looks like Safari only started supporting WebVTT text tracks natively in Safari 6 (reference).
