Timed Metadata

I see that there is some support for timed metadata in the latest player. The information on the site provide information on timed text metadata in HLS streams. Is there support now or planned support for timed xml metadata in simple MP4 streaming (without using HLS and/or DASH)?

I have confirmed with our engineers that there is no planned support for XML based metadata at the moment. If you happen to have a sample file that we can look internally for testing purposes that would be a great tool for us.
