Can we use a custom skin with the Single Line Embed?

We're building a site with Drupal and would like to be able to enter a video's Javascript Single Line Embed into a node's field, to display the video on the page. We also would like to customize the player (changing the play button icon) beyond what's offered in the JWPlayer's control panel under Players:Manage:Design. If we were to customize a skin, how would we implement it while using the Javascript Single Line Embed?

You wouldn’t be able to use the single-line embed if you wanted to customize the skin. You could still use a cloud-hosted player, but you’d need to manually embed the video.
