Is it possible to to host videos on my own server and use jw player HLS Adaptive Streaming options?
If yes, jw has a transcoder that renders all the different size videos from the provided source video file, or I need to have all those different sizes (180p 360p 720p so on) to be rendered individually and uploaded all files to my server?

Hi Gregory,
The only way for us to be able to provide a HLS adaptive stream for your content would for you to upload the videos to our platform. You can just upload the best quality version you have, and we will automatically transcode the various quality versions needed and provide the HLS stream. However, a Premium account, or higher will be needed to play the HLS stream, regardless if the stream is hosted with us or not.
If you want to continue self-hosting your content, you will need to find your own streaming provider, such as Wowza.

How much storage a Platinum Plan comes? Is adult content okay?

Hi Gregory,
You can have a manual quality switch if you define multiple sources for the same video. Platinum storage gives you 150GB of storage, but adult content is not allowed to be hosted on our platform according to our terms of service.
