Not working in Chrome, Firefox IE - Working in Safari and IOS phone

Why is it that the JW player is not working in Chrome, Firefox IE : "Error loading player - no playable sources found" but no problem on my phone Chrome and in Safari?? Any and all assistance is most appreciated!!

Hi David,

It looks like the Premium subscription on your account renewed on August 12th but then the billing contact on your account, Carlos, reached out and requested the account be downgraded and the charge from the 12th be refunded.

Once the account was downgraded to Free, this means that HLS streams would only be playable in those browsers that natively support it, which are:

  • Safari (for both iOS and Mac)
  • Chrome (for Android)
  • Edge (for Windows 10)

If you would like to re-sign up for a Premium subscription, you can do that by logging into the account and clicking on the option to Upgrade towards the top of the page. If you are asked for an email address during the upgrade, you will want to make sure to use the same email address that you use to log in to the account.
