EMBED TEST, error loading player : no playable sources found...

Hmmm testing the latest player 7, using external URL pointing to m3u8 on a web server in another city.
Content streams fine if I open the m3u8 in VLC player locally. The m3u8 references some h264 mp4 files...

Can you provide a link to a reproduction page so I can inspect your embed code?

The test page I'm doing right now is not viewable outside our office.
But m3u8 doesn't work in the 'build your embed' page here

https://dashboard.jwplayer.com/#/welcome?property=22eefdd0-4471-11e6-a92d-0637bffb81a3

... , nor does it work on my local test page.

When I set the source directly to one of the mp4 files referenced in the m3u8 - then the video plays fine on my test page.

Well "almost fine" - plays back in every desktop browser in Win or OSX, and on an ipad.
WIll not play on an Android phone though :-(

Ok so there are two issues here.

The first is why the stream isn’t playing in our stream tester. I know it’s a valid HLS stream because it works in Safari. Click here to read about how to resolve your crossdomain and CORS issues.

The reason why it specifically don’t work for your account is that you need to purchase a Premium Subscription in order to get HLS playback.

Let me know if that helps,

Ah.. I did not see an obvious doc saying m3u8's needed a premium subscription.
So there's no way to test this without buying a subscription first?

We provide a JW Player Stream Tester so you can see how your stream plays back in our player.
