Hi Tan,

If you are referring to HLS streams containing multiple audio renditions not showing the audio tracks in Chrome in HTML5, this is currently the expected behavior. Our engineers are currently working on enabling multiple audio renditions for HLS in our HTML5 provider and are expecting to release it in a future version. I do not have an estimate on when the feature will be released, however.

Please let me know if you need any more help or have any other questions.

Thank you!

Hey Alex!

As me and my employer (IRIS Connect, we are a paying customer) are very interested in this as well as a way to support our business and get rid of flash, is there any chance to see this fixed in 7.5?

Furthermore, is there any hope for support in IE as well? As far as I can see the list of browsers support HLS v3 is limited to Desktop Safari only, at the moment:

Thank you so much!

Hi Alfredo,

As I’ve said, I do not have an estimate on when to expect multiple audio renditions to work with HLS streams in Chrome, but I think its safe to say that it’s not coming in 7.5 as work on that version is almost complete and preparing to enter the beta stage within a week or two. As for IE, we will be building a provider to be able to play HLS streams in HTML5 in IE 11, as long as its running on Windows 8.1 or 10. However, I do not have information on whether or not this will work out of the box with multiple audio renditions. Finally, in regards to HLS v3 as a specification, HLS is natively supported in Edge. I would assume Microsoft would not be retrofitting IE 11 with this support.

Please let me know if you need any more help or have any other questions.

Thank you!
