JWplayer difficult to press play/pause button on Windows Touch and Chromebook Touch

When using Windows Touch or Chromebook Touch in tablet mode on Chrome browser the play/pause button is difficult to press. In most cases it flashes the alternate option but then does nothing. Pressing play/pause while touching another part of the screen will consistently work as if it is a single touch on the play/pause button.
