live stream

i am using rtmp live stream from ip cam and i have wowza media server. problem is that my stream has time difference in 10 to 15 seconds with current time. how can i reduce this time lag???

Your best option for suggestions to reduce this would be to contact Wowza directly, as they are the experts when it comes to streaming. This 10 to 15 seconds does not sound all that bad. It does take time to:

1) send the video from the camera to the encoder
2) encode the video
3) stream the video via the internet

I just checked our sample live stream at http://demo.jwplayer.com/jelly/ and we’re closer to 30 seconds behind.
