Seeking in Google chrome not functioning

The seeking option (using default controls) is not working in Chrome.

Whenever i try to seek to a location in the video it just restarts itself.

Chrome version: Versie 50.0.2661.75 m (64-bit)
JWPlayer version: 7.2.4 (I'm not in the position to upgrade to a newer version for the project, though i have tested it and it game me the same problem)

It's using the 'HTML5' not the 'Flash' video player.

Has anyone else had this problem and managed to fix it?
