Vid not working locally after changing aspect ratio

On computer #1, IE 11 W7, I went to my site's page with my vid, started to play the vid, and clicked on another aspect ratio - just for the heck of it. I can no longer play the vid from the page on computer #1, even after several reboots I get:

error loading media: file cannot be played

. I can, however, play the vid on computer #2, and as well from the dashboard. Can someone please tell me how to get this working on computer #1?

Thanks in advance.

Hi, there.

My name is Alex and I am one of the Support Engineers at JW Player. I will be more than happy to assist you with your questions.

I would need to see a reproduction page in order to troubleshoot this issue. Also, can you please elaborate on what you mean by “clicked on another aspect ratio”?

Thank you.

"I would need to see a reproduction page in order to troubleshoot this issue."

I am unwilling to up my source code and page and website publicly. Is there something else we can do here?

Thank you.

Hi, there.

What you are showing in that screenshot is changing the resolution/quality of the video, not the aspect ratio. The aspect ratio would be turning a widescreen-style video into a square one, or something similar. This is where I got confused.

As for the reproduction page, I would need to see one in order to attempt to troubleshoot the issue. However, since you said it’s only happening on one computer, I cannot guarantee I will even be able to do that. Also, as you can see on the link I sent, a reproduction page does not have to mean your actual page. Actually, we prefer that it’s not your actual page but one that shows the player embedded, showing the issue, without other JavaScript or CSS libraries referenced.

Thank you.

Ok, well, it has been working correctly on the local machine for the past two days, and I have done nothing. Strange. And even more strange, is the fact that the option to change the resolution is gone. Very strange indeed....
