We're using Cisco ACNS caches with http progressive download for a video on demand service, and Jwplayer on the client side.
Is it possible at all to configure Jwplayer in a way that it won't download the entire file once it starts playing, but only a couple of minutes ahead of the playhead?
I have never heard of our player being used in this way, but I will check with our engineers. I know it is the browser that actually requests the video, so I do not think we have a way to control how much of the video is downloaded.
