JW 7.2 using HLS in Android and ios

Using free hosted player with following sources and working on desktops but not mobile:

sources: [{
file: "http://server:1935/live/live.stream/playlist.m3u8"
}, {
file: "rtmp://server:1935/live/live.stream"
}],

I believe androidhls: true is not needed in this version of the player. On both Android and iOS I get the poster with play button but clicking for Android tries to start and then no source found. On the iphone can't click start button and doesn't seem to do anything. My understanding is free version for HLS would work on mobiles. Not sure what else to try. Thanks

HLS should work on browsers that natively support it. Is there a test page I can see?

Would it be possible for me to email a link to you?

Sure, just send it to support at jwplayer dot com and reference case #73029.

This might be the issue and wanted to know if I should have fallback set to true or false to use live source with Android. I've defined the rtsp link in the href based on Wowza example but not sure about fallback option. thanks

Hey Brian,

I just realized you’re doing live streams. You would need to upgrade to Premium for that functionality.

Well I guess that answers my question as to why it's not working. We don't need a cloud solution and wondered if there's a paid version of the player which gives us HLS and DASH for live streaming for just a hosted player without the whole cloud option.

We currently do not offer a standalone self-hosted player license option at this time.
