Hi.

I'm curious as to how JW Player supports audio codecs and how it behaves. We would like a way to impliment Dolby tracks into the playing mix and not only aac. However from what I can see is that JW player does not support decoding these tracks, and testing it has yelded a noisy result, however would it support passing these tracks through to a receiver for decoding when possible or isn't dolby implimentation not recommended using jw player at all?

Thanks.

Hi, there.

My name is Alex and I am one of the Support Engineers at JW Player. I will be more than happy to assist you with your questions.

You can view the audio formats we support on our Media Format Reference. In the meantime, in order to get a better understanding of your issue, can you please give me a link to a page where you have the affected player installed?

Thank you.

Hi, Istvan.

JW Player is a tool that web developers and publishers integrate into their web site to assist them in playing back videos. It is not anything that gets installed on your local computer. If you are having issues with playback on a certain website, I recommend that you contact that web site and let them know so they can troubleshoot further.

Thank you.
