Support of other video file format

Hi,
I am using jw player's premium version with latest feature. I have integrated version 7 in jw player.
My application is based on multimedia structure and for that I user this player for video and audio play.
I saw plex is used jw player and it support all video file format like (mkv,avi) but in my case Player support only mp4 files. In my application there are so many big videos like (full-movies) which are mkv extensions.
so please tell me if any other script or customization for resolve it.

Here is my application is on initial stage. without file format supporting it is useless.

So please give me positive feedback as soon as possible.

Hi, there.

The formats that JW Player supports can be found on our Media Format Reference support article. As you can see, our player does not support MKV files.

I’m not sure if Plex uses our player or not, but their product is a media server that transcodes media on-the-fly so it could be played on the web or on different devices. So, it can possibly take a MKV file but the playback would actually be in a different encoding format.
