Testing of JWPlayer Premium before purchasing service

I have been using JWPlayer 6 to stream M2U8 files with no issues until upgraded to JWPlayer 7 and then only some devices/computers were able to stream. In researching the cause, looks like JWPlayer 7 Platinum sports all devices.

How can I get to test the JWPlayer Platinum to make sure it works properly for our application before we purchase the service?

Thanks,
Cecil.

Hi, Cecil.

I assume you mean M3U8 (HLS) streams and the fact that a Premium account is required with JW Player in order to play such streams.

If that is correct, the easiest thing you can do to make sure you streams work properly on whichever devices/browsers you want to test is to utilize our Stream Tester at http://demo.jwplayer.com/stream-tester. On the Stream Tester, you can paste in the URL of the stream you want to test, click on Load Stream and it will render in the player on the page.

You can read more about the browsers and devices we support, along with the media formats supported in those browsers and devices, on the following support articles:
Browser & Device Reference
Media Format Reference

Please let me know if you need any more help or have any other questions.

Thank you!
