JW player 7 youtube html player with own Logo in ios

I used big size logo without link for JW player 7 with youtube html5 embedded code. When I watch it on IOS or mobile, the play button doesn't work. If I play it on mobile, the player is loading video continuously and I can see the youtube player button behind the Jw player. If I remove my own logo or use small logo that it is not over the play button, it seems work. It seems the JW player play button might not be connected to the youtube play button on mobile.
It is okay on windows or Mac PC.
Is there any solution?

Hi,

I’d have to talk to our Engineering team about this, but they would probably want to know what your use case is for wanting the logo in the center of the video and on top of the play button. The option for display the logo over videos is more for smaller videos do not interfere with the user’s viewing of the video. For example, a small square logo in the corner of the player.

And Whether I use small icon or not, if I click it accidently on mobile, I needed to reload the browser. So if you could fix it, it would be great.

Hi,

Using a smaller logo does not cause me to have to reload the page when tapping on it on mobile.

With that being said, I will escalate this to our Engineers to see what they say. As soon as I hear something back, I will let you know.

The player in the link you supplied no longer contains your logo. In order to escalate this to our Engineers, I would need to reproduce the player with the logo in it. Can you please create a player with the logo set up in it and provide me the link?

Hi, there.

I have just heard back from our Product Manager and it looks like the issue is going to be resolved, for the most part, in 7.2.0, which should be out in the next few weeks.

However, I don’t think its going to resolve your specific issue. This is because your logo is too large and is interfering with touch events on the player. Please see the screenshots linked below for how the player looks with your logo on iOS. Because the logo element is actually clickable and has padding attached to it, it will create issues with users trying to press play on mobile devices.

I would suggest changing your logo to be more subtle, such as a square.
