Hi

The approach explained in the link does actually work for JW7 too - it just requires a minor tweak to account for JW7 API changes.

Hi James,

iOS currently handles its own Closed Captioning. We currently do not support side-car caption on iOS. We currently support HLS webVTT or HLS 608.

I'm not sure what your point is.

The solutions detailed above simply enable webVTT captions on iOS when they are provided as part of the standard JW Player configuration.

This information was offered as a solution to @filip.glazar in response to their original post on Oct 13th - a post which strangely appears to have been deleted.
