Facebook Video Streaming

I'm Streaming facebook videos to my wordpress website using jwplayer, My theme is detube a premium theme in themeforest so I just want add the facebook mp4 url for embedding videos, My concern is I got both HD and lower quality videos, I would like to stream HD on Deskotps/laptops and wand to load lower quality on mobile phones, So is there any chance to add HD toggling to my jwplayer as default. likes this

Hi Paul,

In JW6/7, you can setup the player with the sources block, and can set either the high or low res to the default stream based on detecting if the user is on mobile. (The detection part is not built in, you have to use something like: http://stackoverflow.com/questions/11381673/detecting-a-mobile-browser)

In JW6/7, you can also use adaptive streaming with HLS which automatically adjusts the bitrate of the stream depending on the user’s bandwidth. I definitely recommend updating to 6 or 7 because they feature-set is more enhanced and we no longer provide technical support for JW5.
